Pizzaiolo was founded in 2008 by Antonio Rossi, a third-generation pizzaiolo from Naples, Italy. With a passion for authentic pizza and a dream to bring true Italian flavors to Canada, Antonio opened our first location in Toronto with just three employees and his grandfather's treasured recipes.
What began as a small neighborhood pizzeria has grown into multiple locations across Canada, but our commitment to quality and tradition has never wavered. Each Pizzaiolo restaurant still makes pizza the old-world way - with hand-stretched dough that ferments for 24-48 hours, San Marzano tomatoes, and wood-fired ovens imported from Italy.
Today, while we embrace modern conveniences like online ordering and a responsive mobile website, we remain steadfast in our dedication to the time-honored techniques that make our pizza truly special.
